NBA 2K19 is the 20th title in the long-running NBA 2K series of basketball games. In it, you can take on the role of an up-and-coming player or manage a team in league competition.
Refinements on a classic formula
If you've played previous entries in the series, you'll find NBA 2K19 pretty familiar. You can follow one player's career, manage a team, play a single game, run a league, or just play minigames in the game's virtual neighborhood. Small refinements in the game include improved stealing and greater rewards for staying in front of a dribbling opponent, as well as a reduced reliance on microtransactions and a more streamlined badge system. Cosmetic changes such as changing clothes or getting a new haircut are now easier as well.
More of the same but a little better
NBA 2K19 delivers the features that made previous NBA 2K games fun while eliminating some of the minor points that could get in the way of enjoyment. It's well worth checking out for basketball fans.
